Every time someone dies from gun violence, representatives are notified. Winner of a Shorty Award for Real Time Response, shootatweet.com scrapes data from online sources of gun violence and sends out tweets on behalf of registered users to their respective politicians. Built with React, python, Google Cloud Services.
PoachIt
CTO & primary back-end engineer
Mentioned on Today Show, PoachIt was a service that kept track of products online and notified users when they went on sale. From zero to half a million users, PoachIt managed to maintain incredible uptime with only three primary engineers and still build releases for iOS, Android, Web and Browser extension. Built with nginx, django, go, rabbitmq and AngularJS 1.x.
